Conquering Austria and Germany in 10 days

I think I like Europe more than I did before. Wait! No I LOVE it more than before! Do any of you remember the Disney movie Ratatouille? If you don't it's about a rat you becomes a famous french chef by using a human as a puppet. Anyways there is a scene when the food critic says " I don't like food, I LOVE it" he says it all dramatically and his eyes get big and he leans closer. Well that is how I imagine myself talking about Europe. So I guess I'd say "I don't like Europe, I LOVE it" and yes I'd say it dramaticy and my eyes would get bigger and I'd lean closer. Wow ten days of vacation was awesome! We covered everything from getting lost in Europe to seeing drunk men in lederhosen. I wouldn't trade this experience for anything! I am absolutely in love! Well enjoy!

Our very first flight of our vacation!

Beautiful morning in Serbia

FIRST VIENNA, AUSTRIA

After getting lost in Vienna, Austria. We sat down for a nice lunch in a cute cafe

More of Vienna, Austria!

This ratatouille was amazing! plus it was in pita bread and there was cheese lining the inside :)

This is a carnival in Vienna

These guys were all over. It was the best!

SALZBURG, AUSTRIA/ SOUND OF MUSIC TOUR:

   The beauty of Salzburg, Austria

This is the love lock bridge in Salzburg. Each lock was hooked on the bidge by a couple and each lock had the names or initials of the couple written or engraved on it. The locks represent the love of the couples love and that it is forever locked. ( this must really suck for the couple who split) ( I knew you were all thinking that)

This is the back of the Von Trapp house in the movie The Sound of Music

The gazebo were 16 going on 17 was filmed

The actual path leading to the Von Trapp house that Julie Andrews skipped down many years ago singing I Have Confidence

See there is the fimilar yellow wall and you can see the house peeking between the trees

You may not remeber but this veiw was in the opening credits of the movie.

The cute village of Mondsee. In the movie the Captain and Maria are married in, this is the village the church is in. So to answer your question no the church they were married in was not part of the Abby. The church is actually in this cute little village.

This is the church

The inside of the church was repainted recently. No need to go back and watch the movie to check if it was pink back then. Unless you really want to watch it again, which I wouldn't balme you if you did.

Do these steps look familiar?

This fountain makes me want to sing DO Re Mi

Just missing my seven children

MUNICH: We were in Munich, Germany for five days. We were able to see many beautiful churches, I was able to take pictues of the inside of one of them! The others did not allow pictures which is understanderable. We went to a permanent market which was awesome. I love markets and things like that so I was very happy. We were able to see a panoramic view of the city, I honsetly could have spent all day on top of the tower we were on and took in the beautiful sight of the rooftops of Munich. there were two towers we could choose from. One tower had you walk up a bunch of starirs for 3 euro. Whelie the other one had you take an elevator to the top (or lifts which is what they call them here, Im going to call them lifts from now on) for 2 euro. All I can say is priorities man. One day were able to visit the Neuschwanstien Castle. Which is actually a funny story. Ok so to go to the Neuschwanstien Castle by train you have to take a train to a town named Fussen. You then take a bus to get to the village the Castle is in. Anyways my group and I got to the Munich train station with the intention of taking the 9:53 am train it was about a two our train ride to Fussen and our tour reservation was made for 1:55pm. Well as it turned out as we were standing waiting for the train the train was cancelled. A bunch of people including me started running around looking for a train to Fussen. We finnaly found one and I ran back to my group to tell them. We then all moved to the new platform and waited for a couple minutes. The train fianlly came and we got on, the minute we sat down and got comfortable. Someone came on the intercom and said " This train will not go to Fussen!", we all scarmed off and everybody started running everywhere and many got on another train with a connecting stop to Fussen. My group and I didn't want to run the risk of missing our tour reservation. Seeing that if we did we would be charged the reservation fine. We then found out that the next train to Fussen was 11:53pm which would not work because our tour was at 1:55pm. I also forgot to mention that we had to pick up our tickets at least an hour before our tour. We then tried to find a pay phone so we could call the castle to either cancel our tour reservation or move the time up. I finally found a tour booth and one of the ladies let me use their phone to call the castle. We were able to move our tour time and made it to the castle in plenty of time.

Whlie we where in Munich, Oktoberfest was going on. It was very interesting to see everyone dressed up. All of the attractive men in lederhosen were the best part, except when they were drunk. We never made it to Oktoberfest but we went up to the gate. I also unfortunatly didn't think to take pictures of the people all dressed up or of what I could see of Oktoberfest from the gate. We were also able to go to beautiful park it was nice to be surrounded but trees and get out of the city. The last full day we were there we went to the Olympiapark and that was awesome! In the end I really enjoyed looking at of the architecture and being amazed how much detail went into these buildings. They are just absolutely amazing and the pictures don't them justice. I can't forget the food, my goodness I loved the food! Well enjoy the pictues!

Inside the Glockenspeil. It was beautiful inside and out.

We found a fish statue and properly handled the situation

We rented an apartment for the  days. These were the stairs we had to walk up everyday. Not to mention we were on the top floor...
